Rhododendron

I went to Bute Park, Cardiff as I knew there were some Rhododendron tress there.

 This is a Cherry Laurel. It is also non-native.

 These are the seed heads of the Rhododendron.

I have been looking at a range of invasive species and have created a list. These include:

FMP

I am now onto my Final Major Project. My idea is to create a series of Carte-De-Visite on the Invasive plants species in Wales.
I have decided to do this as Carte-De-Visite have become forgotton and yet they were the hight of fashion for wealthy people to have. This then lead onto the idea of using invasive plant species as most of them are so common that we no longer think of them as invasive species. They are now native and I think by doing this it will make people think a little about the plants we have in our country that are our own, that haven't been brought over from a different country.
