This is my friend Charlotte. She agreed to pose for me to help me decide how I should photograph the model. I think that this photo turned out really well. You can only see half of her due to the lighting. I purposely decided to use dramatic lighting as the final photos would be in black and white so this would make this photo different to the normal portrait photos. The photo is soft as this creates an atmosphere of wistfulness. She is staring into the distance with a sad look on her face. Unfortunately the background wasn't the best as I only had a sheet and it wasn't hung up properly so there is some texture in the background. If I could take it again I would make sure the background is flat and therefore doesn't detract from the model.
