These are my slip leaves that are on my final board in my show. I painted layers of slip onto each leaf. I then waited untill the slip was leather hard and gently peeled the leaf off. I then waited untill it was completely dry and put it in the kiln. when it had been fired I used a green oxide to pick up on the texture of the leaf and then fired it again. For the big leaf I didnt take the leaf off, I just let it dry completelt and put it in the kiln. The leaf burnt away in the kiln. If I had tried to take the leaf off when the slip was leather hard then the slip would have broken as it is too big.
These have been very successful and I think they look amazing. I think they look very effective next to the Carte De Visites I made.
