Carolyn Genders

Carolyn Genders is another artist I have researched.
I like how she uses natural colours in her work. This vase reminds me of a stream running between two rocks. I like the scratches she has made as it makes the piece look textured and layered. They draw my eye as they are bold and stand out amongst the other solid colour shapes.
This one is really pretty. It looks like a cut-through section of the ocean. I like the way she has used a brick pattern on this vase as it looks like she has built the ocean. Each brick is a different shape and they are all slightly curved so they go around the vase and enhance the contours of the piece.
This is another of my favourites. I really like the monochrome colour scheme. I think it makes it stand out. These are a really odd shape and they look quirky and unique. It is the same patternt but slightly different to fit the differnt shapes of the sculptures.
