Ceramics

 

These are some containers I made in ceramics last week.

I used the plaster mould technique to create the two halves. I then put them together. I erased the pattern where I joined them and so I added some more pattern over the top. My tutor then told me that they look a little like urns so i had to add something to them. The girls thought they looked like honey pots. I decided to add a spout to them to make them functional as I can now use them as vases. On the first one there was a dink in the top of the container so I cut out a hole. It didn't look quite right so I added a spout. I think it looked really good so I added a larger one onto the second one at the top to see how that would look. I think they both look really good and have character.
